Last night a patient locked his door from the inside after stealing the key out of the window.
Then he launched the key out of his window.
That was exciting. You know? Searching for a key outside at 3am.

Finally, a weekend off.
Ohgod, its so hot.
I can skip A, I guess. Nothing ever happens there anyway.
Time for checks.
Can we just like stop Candice from watching shows about child birth this close to her due date…
Seeing an 18 year old being arrested for accidently killing his Mom is something I never want to see again.
It’s only made worse by trying to hide his heavily pregnant girlfriend from it and seeing her face when she sees her boyfriend and father of her child in handcuffs and being taken away to jail.
These next few weeks are going to be awkward.
I tried to get Candice to come out for dinner but she pretended to sleep. I think I heard her crying before. I left her food and collected an empty tray later on.
It had been a quiet night so Bailey used the time to read over case files. It was always good to have a better understanding of patients. Some of the things written made her sick, angry or sad.
She closed a file and stood to make more coffee.
Today is going to be a drag. I can feel it.
Checks.
Usual dose of morning excitement, dull as ever.
Dinner with her family for Mother’s Day had made Bailey almost late for work as she sped into the parking lot, lucky to find a space close to the door she half jogged to the nurses station to clock in on time. It seemed quiet and the paperwork pile seemed remarkably low for a Sunday. After removing her jacket and straightening herself out she decided to start rounds.
“Dr. Kingsley.” Daniel replied brightly. “He made me tea. I think I like him. I’ve only heard good things about him so I was hoping to get him.”
She smiled. ‘He’s a nice man.’
He looked at her critically. “Do you actually mean that or do you just say that because you have to?” he asked. “Most of the nurses dont seem to speak their opinions often.”
‘He really is one of the nicer doctors here.’ Not that it was hard.
‘Yep, just trying to help.’ She said, wondering if the doctors were just trying to help Charlie.
“Except like O’Malley. He’s not so great.” Daniel quickly added.
‘mhmm.’ She tried to act indifferently. ‘whose your doctor now, Daniel?’
“Dr. Kingsley.” Daniel replied brightly. “He made me tea. I think I like him. I’ve only heard good things about him so I was hoping to get him.”
She smiled. ‘He’s a nice man.’
“It’s too bad really. They doctors and stuff are just trying to help,”

Daniel breathed deeply. “Yeah, probably.”
‘Some people just can’t handle being here I guess.’

“Eh…. that’s complicated.” Daniel said. “I don’t miss my dad…except when I do. And I don’t miss the intolerance. And if I wasn’t here… there would be some people I didn’t miss, you know, Candice, bless her heart, but she’s a bucket full of crazy nuts dipped in bittersauce.” he said with a shrug. “But I like some of the people here. But the way people are here is different. I don’t know how to say it. The south is… warmer. And I ain’t talking about the weather.”
She nodded. ‘I understand. I think a lot of people are bitter here.’

‘Do you miss home?’ She asked as she walked with him.
